The 1601/1602 slide gate operators, 6000/6100 series swing operators, the 9024/9050 slide gates, and the 9150 series all use different roller brackets, different axle diameters, and different mounting hole patterns. You can’t just grab a universal roller off the shelf and assume it’ll track straight.

What you can safely check yourself: look at the roller wheels for flat spots, watch the gate as it moves, and see if the hinge leaves have wallowed out holes or a bent pin. That’s good information to have before you call. But replacing a slide gate roller correctly means lifting the gate panel, supporting it, pulling the old wheel, and setting the new one so it contacts the track flat and square. A gate that’s off by an eighth of an inch at the roller runs off-level at the latch end six feet later.
If your gate is a swing gate, the hinges are under constant tension from the panel’s weight and wind load, and getting one wrong means the whole panel shifts and the operator binds against its stops.
